In short

The Fischer Ranger 90 is aimed at skiers who want real off-piste ability without giving up a clean, supportive feel on groomed snow. Its 90 mm waist keeps edge changes relatively quick, while the shape still offers enough surface for softer conditions and variable snow beside the piste. Shaped Ti adds support when you pressure the ski, and Freeski Rocker makes direction changes less demanding. The result is a confident all-mountain freeride ski for progressing to advanced skiers who split their day between carving, chopped snow and easier freeride terrain.

In detail

Rocker Camber Small Rise
Skis with a rocker in the tip, camber in the middle and a small rise in the tail are very versatile. The ski is easy to turn, and the camber under the foot gives the ski grip on harder snow. The tail is slightly raised, but it is not like a full rocker. This makes for a balanced combination of easy turning and carving, without compromising on stability.

Woodcore
The core consists of specifically selected wood types that are laminated in different compositions into a solid core. This gives the designers control over all the characteristics of the ski.

Shaped TI with Flex-Cut
The Ti Layer in the ski core is shaped according to the needs and intended use of the ski. An incut in the Ti layer allows for further refining of the skis flex pattern. In general, this means a wider ski has a shorter Ti layer and a bigger flex cut, making the ski more drifty and playfully. A narrower ski has a longer TI layer and a smaller cut for a directional flex and better edge grip.

Sidewall Construction
A durable PU sidewall seals and protects the ski’s layered construction while adding structural strength. By improving power transfer from the skier to the edges, sidewall construction delivers better edge grip, increased stability at speed, and more precise handling. It also enhances durability and impact resistance for long-lasting performance.

Characteristics

  1. Freeride

    Shape

The shape of a freeride ski is designed for off-piste use. With 90 mm underfoot, the ski provides more flotation in soft and deep snow, while the wider shape helps it remain stable and controlled in variable snow conditions.

  2. Stiff

    Flex

Flexes less easily and therefore requires more technique and input from the skier. It provides more support, precision and composure at higher speeds and under heavier loads.

  3. Medium

    Radius

With a radius of 17m @ 177cm, this ski offers a good balance between easy turn initiation and stability at speed. It feels predictable in short to medium-length turns and remains stable as the pace increases.
