Twenty years worth of evolution in one board. The Capita Black Snowboard of Death is constantly adapted and fine-tuned to create the best high-end all-mountain board. Think of it as Capita's experiment. The board is ready for combat with its light core and the carbon strips in the length that give the board its stiffness. It will also be available in a wide range this year, and the sidecut has been slightly modified to allow for even faster turns.

In detail

PROFILE

  • Alpine V1 Profile
    The Alpine V1 Profile design features mid-body camber with a flat tail and a reverse cambered nose. This allows for tons of pop and stability on hard pack while increasing float and landing power, improving the rider’s performance in deep snow.

  • Flat Kick Tech
    With capita’s flat kick design technology, we’ve tightened the tip profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height on reverse camber boards. The tight tip radius in conjunction with tuned blend zones allows you to have a forgiving and easy to ride reverse camber board that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions. This also creates a flat tip and tail which increases jibbing stability and also helps the board plane on top of powder creating float and control.

 

  • Progressive Sidecut
    A progressive sidecut consists of two or more radii blended together to accommodate the three stages of a turn. They provide easy turn initiation while offering greater control throughout the turn and maximum power when exiting.

  • Thermopolymer Hover Core
    Enhanced with bonded post-consumer recycled Thermopolymer channels into ultra-lightweight select grain wood core strips, the THERMOPOLYMER HOVER Core™ is extremely light and strong with excellent dampening properties.

 

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Amplitex V-Tech Amplifier
    These 30 mm Carbon Arcs are constructed utilizing an all new computer engineered carbon shaping process. After extensive lab work analyzing how a particular shape reacts to the dynamics of riding, each piece of pre-shaped and pre-laminated Carbon Fiber is made to exact standards that enhance the positive features of a particular board.

 

  • Carbon Fleece Power Shield
    These two carbon fleece power pads are hidden under the bindings for maximum power. This results in more power for ollies and stability underfoot. The torsional stiffness is not affected by this, making it forgiving.

  • Holysheet Tri/Tri Fiberglass
    The Holysheet fiberglass configuration features fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. At the highest level, Triaxial fiberglass is placed on both the top and bottom of the core providing maximum strength, durability and performance, while many of our most sought after models feature Triaxial fiberglass on top of the core and Biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating a perfectly blended ride while increasing strength and durability. Combine one of these two layups with the Magic Bean resin and one of the many additives we have available, and you get an incredibly high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.

  • Skinless Core Ash Woodgrain Topsheet
    A wooden topsheet with a unique touch, designed by Capita. The main advantage of this topsheet is that it is 220 grams lighter than the standard.

  • Hyperdrive ADV base
    The Hyperdrive ADV base is Capita's standard sintered base. The base has high sliding properties and special anti-friction properties. Thanks to the special construction process, this base has a high molecular mass that is also used to win World Cups and the Olympic Games.
