Quick overview

The Capita Kazu Kokubo Pro is the pro model of Kazuhiro Kokubo. One of Japan's greatest talents in the snowboard scene, his pro model was created to effortlessly blast through the pow with the help of a tapered tail and a rocker in the nose. The board is smaller than most powder boards, making it easy to manoeuvre. Made for blasting through the pow in the morning and hitting the slopes and big air in the afternoon.

PROFILE

  • Resort V3 Profile
The Resort V3 profile maximises diversity. A camber between the bindings of the board ensures grip and stability. A rocker in the tip and tail ensures float and landing power in the powder. The tip and tail are traditional for smoother transitions.

  • Radical Taper Sidecut
Engineered for deep powder but still versatile around the mountain, this radial sidecut is complemented by a tapered tail. This narrower tail section naturally sinks in the powder while the wider nose section floats above the snow line. The result is less work and more fun as the board surfs on one smooth continual arc.

CORE

  • Panda Hover Core
The panda hover core was built for a high performance return of energy in a lightweight and versatile core. From razor sharp turns on demand, to huge ollies, this core was engineered with all-terrain technical freestyle riding in mind. Comprised of Capita's P2 superlight core and enhanced with inlaid bamboo power rods, this high-density core is strong enough to meet the needs of the all-terrain customer while saving considerable weight.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Amplitex V-Tech Amplifier
These 30 mm Carbon Arcs are constructed utilizing an all new computer engineered carbon shaping process. After extensive lab work analyzing how a particular shape reacts to the dynamics of riding, each piece of pre-shaped and pre-laminated Carbon Fiber is made to exact standards that enhance the positive features of a particular board.

  • Holysheet Fiberglass
The all new holysheet fiberglass configuration features new fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. Triaxial fiberglass is placed on top of the core and biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating a perfectly blended ride while increasing strength and durability. Combine this layup with the magic bean resin and one of the many additives we have available, and you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.

BASE

  • Hyperdrive ADV XT base
The Hyperdrive ADV XT base is Capita's standard sintered base. The XT version is a bit thicker than the normal one and can endure impact better. The base has high sliding properties and special anti-friction properties. Thanks to the special construction process, this base has a high molecular mass that is also used to win World Cups and the Olympic Games.

  • Sublimation Base

TOPSHEET

  • Skinless Core Ash Woodgrain Topsheet
A wooden topsheet with a unique touch, designed by Capita. The main advantage of this topsheet is that it is 220 grams lighter than the standard.

  • Multitech™ Level 4 DeepSpace™ Silkscreen + Custom Stained Core Ash Topsheet

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • 360 Degree HRC48 Steel Edges
  • Full ABS1000 Sidewalls

OTHERS

  • Magic Bean Resin
Developed over a three-year span, this all new resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw materials. It is plant based that does not compete with primary food sources and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high yield output. This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. Magic bean resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing us to decrease the wood core thickness. Our focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return.

  • Stainless Steel 4 x 2 Inserts
