Every year YES found theirselves getting custom made “team-spec” boards for riders like Benji Ritchie, that loved the Basic but wanted a faster base and just a little more snap to the flex. The Typo is exactly that. For the dedicated resort rat and upcoming pro in all of us.

In detail

PROFILE

  • CamRock
    A hybrid profile with camber between the feet and rocker toward the tip and tail, giving the board pop, edge hold and a looser feel where it needs to release.

CORE

  • Full Poplar
    The baseline core for tip to tail woodcore snowboard construction. Strikes a predictable balance between durability, consistent flex, and light weight.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Biax
    A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 2-dimensional fiberglass at an angle of 90 degrees. 2-dimensional fiberglass gives a slight torsional stiffness while maintaining comfort and a playful character.

BASE

  • Sintered Spec Base
    A recycled sintered-style base that sits between extruded ease and true sintered speed, giving solid glide with a more forgiving maintenance level.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • UnderBite Edges
    The edge pulls inward at the inserts, redistributing pressure toward the contact points for stronger grip, easier turning and more bite on hard snow.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
    Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.
