Snowcountry Second Choice Snowboards

We sell second choice snowboards in 3 categories. All snowboards are sold with their regular product warranty. For any questions regarding a specific second chance product, please contact our customer service.

  • B-Grade
B-Grade snowboards can contain cosmetic defects and small production discrepancies. All of these defects are cosmetical and the snowboards are new and technically 100%.
  • C-Grade
C-Grade snowboards have transport damage, scratches on base or top sheet, or other small defects. These snowboards are new but might need some attention.
  • Demo
Demo snowboards are used by our team for testing purposes. They are in a good state and well serviced.

The Yes Hybrid is somewhere between the Yes 420 and the Yes Pick Your Line. The Hybrid has the carving and freeride capabilities of the PYL, but with the float of the 420. This board is slightly wider than a standard freeride board, but slightly narrower than a real powder board. If you are looking for one board for all off-piste conditions, then the Hybrid is a good choice. The Hybrid sets a new standard!

Details

PROFILE

  • Directional CamRock
A hybrid rocker / camber shape with camber between the feet, and rocker in the nose and tail. The rocker in the nose and tail gives more float and manoeuvrability in powder snow, while the camber provides grip and response.

CORE

  • Poplar/Bamboo/Paulownia
Creating a lighter, more responsive core than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the Poplar with Paulownia and then inserts two bamboo stringers down the full length for added pop and response.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 3-dimensional fiberglass at a 45-degree angle. 3-dimensional fiberglass provides good torsional rigidity. This provides stability and response and is often used in boards for the more experienced rider.

BASE

  • Sintered True base
A sintered base is made from grains of coarse powder that are pressed until they form a solid. Genuine sintered base is harder and more expensive than extruded base. It can therefore be faster for those who drive aggressively and fast, provided the base is waxed according to the circumstances.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Tapered Underbites
Tapered Underbite aims to give the board more float and edge grip. Seen from the tip, the steel edge gradually falls inwards at the height of the inserts. This gives you a tapered shape, which improves buoyancy. Due to the wave in the steel edege, you create grip. Because the radius becomes shorter towards the tail, you can send out your turns surprisingly powerfully.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.
