In short

The Eclipse is a powder & freeride hybrid that prefers trees, powder and steeps. Like many powder boards, the Eclipse has a very wide nose and a tapered crescent tail, but it differentiates itself with a mid-stiff flex, our Freeride camber-dominant profile and only 10mm of setback. This combination keeps the board nimble in trees, reliable on crud, and floaty in deep snow.

PROFILE

  • Directional Multi Radial Camber-Rocker
    A gradual increase from the nose to a more agressive camber radius in the tail. This provides better pop, dampening on drops and control on bigger lines.

  • Swallowtail
    The tail on this board will help you swim through powder like a fish in the sea. All that, while maintaining durability as each tail is structurally reinforced with carbon.

CORE

  • Slayer Wood Core
    This is a bamboo/poplar core, used in most of the boards in Westons line. Designed to be energetic and damp.

  • Rooted Inserts
    Just like roots help keep a plant grounded, flax reinforcement in areas of the core help increase strength and durability and dampens chatter. Additionally, flax is a sustainable crop and is good for the environment.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Carbon S Weave
    Carbon S Weave is an innovative technology where carbon is weaved through the core from topsheet to base and back. This creates maximum pop.

  • Tri-axe Glass
    Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate. This laminate offers a precise and responsive ride in any ­terrain or snow conditions.

BASE

  • Sintered 4001
    Fast ride, more durable, good wax retention.

 

TOPSHEET

  • Rugged Topsheet
    Polymide is eco friendly and made from castor beans. The topsheet is durable and resistant to scratches and scuffs.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • PU Sidewalls
    Highly durable sidewall that also provides added dampening.

  • Karakoram Ultra Clips
    ULTRA clips are the strongest, lowest profile splitboard clips in the world. They deliver unmatched compression between board halves and they are adjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.

  • Double Edged
    Multi-radial sidecut provides two additional contact points to help maintain better edge control.
