Tried and true versatility and all-mountain performance come standard with the Rome D.O.D. This staple has earned its stripes in the icy parks of Vermont, the steeps of Jackson and the bottomless forests of Hokkaido. With a medium/ shift flexing highback, Ultrafolex pro Ankle Straps and ProGrip Toe Straps featuring AuxTech®, the D.O.D. is all-about locked in hold and tweakability you only find in a Rome binding.

PERFORMANCE

The FullWrap Baseplate is made of reinforced nylon with 30% fibreglass and bends around the foot for an extra direct feel.
The binding combines stiffness with feel. With its Asym FlexChannel highback it's very comfortable despite its stiffness and still retains its natural flex.
Rome's highbacks and baseplates are made of up a variety of combined materials. These composites are all designed to flex differently and provide different levels of response and tweakability.

  • Baseplate: FullWrap (70% nylon, 30% fiberglass)
  • Heelcup: Aluminum
  • Highback: Antishock (85% nylon, 15% fiberglass)

COMFORT

Auxetic patterns are geometric patterns that become thicker perpendicularly when stretched. Think of them as a network of tiny hinges 
that when pressure is applied, they actually expand and open. This creates a more direct connection to the boot. Better surface area 
pressure distribution with an ergonomic shape means a better connection overall.

USE

This binding is equipped with a 4x4 disc by default and is compatible with all standard insert patterns (as well as the Burton channel).
The highback can be rotated and canted.
The baseplate can be shifted, and the disc allows a large range.

Rome's BombProof Buckles are a one-piece forged aluminum construction for better grip and durability. Built with wider stance teeth area for more engagement, this makes for easier ratcheting and increased protection from wear and tear to your ladder straps.

Rome's bindings feature FastEntry Technology for super quick and easy entry into the binding. The pre-curved ladder on the ankle and toe straps are designed to pop open and help keep the straps out of your way while getting your boot into the binding.
