In short

The Rome Artifact Pro is the big brother of the 'normal' Artifact. The SinterStrong base makes it more accessible to big kickers in the park and the Carbon HotRods maximize pop. The new Flax Impact Plates help absorb impact and add extra power to the board without affecting the playful street/jib flex profile.

In detail

PROFILE

  • Stay Positive
The Stay Positive-Profile is full camber. This offers a poppy ride with crisp, fully engaged performance.
  • Double Kick
New for this season, Double Kick is an aggressive, two-part rise in the board’s nose or tail, built for increased pressability and better landings.

CORE

  • Stompcore
Our most stable and predictable core, built with 100% poplar construction.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Twin Single Hotrod
A single HotRod in the board’s nose and tail; pressable yet poppy.

  • Carbon Hotrods
Thin rods of carbon that are milled into the boards core starting at the insert pack and extending into the nose and/or tail. Carbon HotRods are super responsive and powerfully snappy.
  • Biax Glass
Fiberglass with two different axes, built to be torsionally more playful and pressable.

  • Flax Impact Plates
Built to cover and reinforce the insert pack. Flax Impact Plates are designed to make boards more durable, absorb impact and add increased strength without changing the board’s flex pattern.

BASE

  • PowerSlide Base
A durable extruded base that is easy to maintain, quick to repair and faster than you would expect.

MOUNTING

  • 2x4
Provide a wide stance range, while at the same time delivering critical micro adjustability. Not suitable for Burton EST and 3D bindings.

Characteristics

  1. Camber
    Profile

    Camber

Camber - Camber provides strong edge hold, stability and control, especially on hardpack and at higher speeds. The profile delivers plenty of pop and power for carving and jumping. Camber feels direct and precise but is less forgiving than rocker, making it less suitable for deep powder and beginners. You will mainly find this profile in boards designed for skilled, technical riders on the slopes and in the park.

  2. True Twin
    Shape

    True Twin

True Twin - On a true twin, the nose and tail are identical in shape, length and flex. The inserts are also centred, allowing the board to perform the same in both directions. This makes riding switch, spinning and landing easier and more predictable. This shape is mainly found in freestyle and park boards.
