K2 has chosen a new Path to minimize emissions. The K2 Path is one of the results. Processed with Castor beans and sugar cane. A stiff binding suitable for the advanced to expert all-mountain snowboarder who thinks of mother nature and does not want to compromise on performance.
In detail
PERFORMANCE
The Module chassis is composed of a fiberglass infused nylon, and minimizes “dead” board flex zones directly underneath the binding. This, in turn, allows the rider to feel the flex and response of the entire board length, while providing maximum support, security, comfort, and vibration damping. Intergrated with Sugarcane EVA Canted Harshmellow™ Footbed w/ Pods.
K2's FR1 Highback harnesses the strength and durability of the castor bean and represents a huge step toward the goal of carbon neutrality.

COMFORT
K2's dual-density ankle strap utilizes the strength and durability of the castor bean. As mentioned, cushioned with two densities for extra comfort.
Derived from scrap native sugarcane, raised with minimal impact on rainforests. Integrated with K2’s proprietary Harshmellow technology, these eco conscious 3 degrees canted footbeds provide grip, cushion, and performance for all day riding in every condition.
The proprietary rubber compound, integrated onto the bottom of the Module chassis, provides vibration damping and cushion between board and binding, reducing fatigue and joint impact.

USE
There are multiple attachment points for the ankle strap on the Module chassis. This allows you to choose more precision or freedom of movement and adjust it to your boot.
Intergrated with offset mount holes for centering the binding on the board and minimizing heel and toe drag.
Featured on the FR1 and AM1 highbacks, a traditional forward lean adjustment allow the rider to fine-tune the response of the binding and board.
