The Flow NX2 is Flow's high performance binding with the same aluminum baseplate as the NX2 carbon. The hiback is reinforced with fiberglass instead of carbon and the ExoKush strap brings just that little more comfort. The footbed provides good cushioning during your landing after that big kicker. A nice stiff binding made for the advanced boarder who wants just a little more comfort and tweakability than the NX2-Carbon.
In detail
PERFORMANCE
Aluminum NX2 Baseplate The aluminum construction delivers a strong and responsive connection while keeping weight low. Its rockered design allows the snowboard to flex more naturally and transfers rider input quickly to the edges.
The aluminium Modback highback consists out of 2 zones: a lower and an upper zone. Having 2 zones allows for a more specific tuning of flex and materials. The Alu modbacks are built from aluminium which causes the highback to be stiffer and more responsive. The counterpart is the GF-Nylon Modback which is softer and therefore more lively and playful.
The highback is equipped with an ATM.8 supportpanel top section. This panel is slightly flattened and leaves more room for movement. The Nylon construcion is flexible and allows for a little movement for comfort.
Baseplate: Aluminum Alloy Rockered Baseplate
Highback: Glass-filled Nylon ModBack Highback & ATM.8 Support Panel
COMFORT
2.5° Canted BankBeds EVA footbeds are angled by 2.5 degrees to support a more natural riding position. The canting helps align the ankles, knees and hips while providing cushioning underneath the boots.
Exo-Kush Fusion Strap A supportive frame works together with an expanded-EVA layer to combine control, comfort and low weight. The single-piece Fusion design covers a large area of the foot, spreading pressure evenly and transferring input efficiently into the binding.
Most Flow bindings are equipped with N.A.S.T.Y. (New Active Strap Technology). This construction uses a of axis lever to tilt the strap up and forward when push the highback down. The creates a larger area to enter and makes stepping in extremely easy. The new Locking Slap Ratchet (LSR) are made to work like a regular buckle. This makes it possible to lock and enter the binding with a rear-entry system as well as strapping in just like a regular binding. Flow bindings use an aluminum (NX2-series) or a nylon offset multidisc which can be mounted on any type of snowboard (including Burton Channel).
