Quick overview

The Elan Ripstick 88W is a versatile ski for the ladies to tackle the mountains with. On the piste, a Ripstick 88W behaves consistently and therefore also very stable. Without extreme effort, this ski can already carve and at the same time feels fast and stable in the edge turns. Off the beaten track, the Ripstick comes into its own. It loves soft snow and powder and can go anywhere. Because it is lighter than the men's model, this ski will be even easier to steer and offer good float if you choose to go off-piste with it. It is not extremely stiff, but still a more aggressive ski that is quite manoeuvrable at both low and high speeds. Suitable for the advanced skier looking for a piste and all-mountain ski.

Details

Rocker Camber Small Rise
Skis with a rocker in the tip, camber in the middle and a small rise in the tail are very versatile. The ski is easy to turn, and the camber under the foot gives the ski grip on harder snow. The tail is slightly raised, but it is not like a full rocker. This makes for a balanced combination of easy turning and carving, without compromising on stability.

Tubelite Woodcore
Carbon tubes are inserted into a lightweight laminated wood core creating torsional stability and powerful rebound while allowing for material reduction of the core. The Tubelite Woodcore is incredible lightweight, responsive and stable.

Carbon Rods
Lightweight carbon rods have been incorporated into the wooden core along the ski's taper. These carbon rods provide extra stiffness and allow lighter types of wood to be used in the rest of the core, resulting in a lighter overall package.

Glass Fiber
Delivers customized flex with increased torsional resistance and stability.

Sidewall Construction
A PU layer that seals the layered ski construction on the side and adds strength. Skis with a sidewall construction are generally more stable at speed, livelier and more durable.
