Quick overview

The Yes Standard UnInc. was built for Dustin Craven, he needed a little more support and precision than what he got with the traditional standard. So we made a Directional Volume Twin shape with a wide platform underfoot where you need it and now Slamback inserts for those unexpected pow days. MidBite outline brings out the kind of response and edge hold that will shatter your preconceived notions of what a mid-wide board can do.

Details

PROFILE

  • Camber
Offering a snappy suspension, camber distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail. The P’s! Power, Pop. Precision, Predictability! An advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design.

  • Directional Volume Twin
As the lines between freeride and freestyle continue to erase, we had to address the needs of those committed to riding twins but finding themselves in more pow. Nose and tail volume is hard to notice in hardpack unless you’re nose/tail pressing, but in pow it affects floatation and you can feel it. This led to the simple idea of the Directional Volume Twin. Symmetrical flex, centered stance, identical wide points of the board (therefore, NOT tapered), and identical shovel lengths but with a slightly lower volume tail.

CORE

  • Poplar/Bamboo/Paulownia
Creating a lighter, more responsive core than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the Poplar with Paulownia and then inserts two bamboo stringers down the full length for added pop and response.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 3-dimensional fiberglass at a 45-degree angle. 3-dimensional fiberglass provides good torsional rigidity. This provides stability and response and is often used in boards for the more experienced rider.

  • Carbon
Carbon beams are placed in strategic positions to increase pop and snap without adding overall weight compared to traditional fiberglass only constructions. Carbon also adds flex memory, supporting the camber shape so the board remains lively over time and use.

BASE

  • Sintered True base
A sintered base is made from grains of coarse powder that are pressed until they form a solid. Genuine sintered base is harder and more expensive than extruded base. It can therefore be faster for those who drive aggressively and fast, provided the base is waxed according to the circumstances.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Midbite
Midbite is made for tight turns and stable landings. The steel edge between the inserts falls slightly inwards. The result is weight savings and a faster edge change due to the narrower waist. In addition, it provides more grip on icy terrain and the wider tip and tail for stable jumps and landings.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.

  • Slambacks
An extra set of float inserts with heavy setback for the extreme powder days.
