This year YES partnered up with their good friends at PYZEL surfboards to build the YES Sbbs x Pyzel, an all-mountain performance board. This board is the only board you’ll need all winter long, it has a tapered MidBite outline and some slamback inserts for those big powder days. Its twin construction makes it a true freestyle board when you’re riding the park or pipe. This board is like riding pipeline alone, it’s a dream. But this one comes true. 

In detail

PROFILE

  • Camber
    Offering a snappy suspension, camber distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail. The P’s! Power, Pop. Precision, Predictability! An advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design.

CORE


    Poplar_Paulownia
    The upgraded version of the known Full Poplar core, the poplar paulownia core is lighter because of the addition of the paulownia strips in the core and retains it's durability.

 

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax
    A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 3-dimensional fiberglass at a 45-degree angle. 3-dimensional fiberglass provides good torsional rigidity. This provides stability and response and is often used in boards for the more experienced rider.

BASE

  • Sintered Spec base
    A recycled sintered base made by extrusion. The properties are close to those of sintered bases, but due to heating and pressing, the base has become softer. This base lies between Extruded and Sintered. Harder and faster when properly waxed.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Midbite
    Midbite is made for tight turns and stable landings. The steel edge between the inserts falls slightly inwards. The result is weight savings and a faster edge change due to the narrower waist. In addition, it provides more grip on icy terrain and the wider tip and tail for stable jumps and landings.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
    Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.

  • Slambacks
    An extra set of float inserts with heavy setback for the extreme powder days.
