VLT (Visible Light Transmission) is a measurement that indicates the percentage of light that comes through the lens and reaches your eyes. A fully clear lens for dark conditions usually has about 60-80% VLT and a very dark lens with mirror for sunny conditions can have up to 25% VLT. Most all-round lenses are found between 25 and 60%.
