How to choose the right ski length

First of all there is no golden rule to determine the correct ski length. It depends on your skiing abilities, weigth, length and type of ski. But as a rule of thumb we provide the table below which is a good starting point to find your correct length
Example: If you start getting in to freeriding, take a ski which is approximately 5 cm shorter then your own length.

Quick overview

The Nordica Santa Ana 98 is a true all-mountain freeride ski for women. The base has a core of lightweight Balsa wood combined with carbon strips and two layers of metal on the steel edges. This makes the ski lightweight yet stable and energetic. A ski that inspires a lot of confidence in changing conditions and off-piste. There is plenty of float for surfing through the light powder thanks to the waist width of 98 mm and tip rocker. With the traditional pre-tensioning in the waist of the ski, there is always grip when you need it and you can carve your way on the slopes without a worry. This is a truly versatile ski for women who focus on freeriding but are just as easily found all over the mountain.

Details

Rocker Camber Small Rise

Skis with a rocker in the tip, camber in the middle and a small rise in the tail are very versatile. The ski is easy to turn, and the camber under the foot gives the ski grip on harder snow. The tail is slightly raised, but it is not a like full rocker. This makes for a balanced combination of easy turning and carving, without compromising on stability.

Terrain Specific Metal
By adding the same shaped metal plate inside the skis, it increases proportionately with the decrease of the last. Through this technology, we were able to design unique constructions better suited for different terrain. The narrower Santa Ana has more power and stability on the trail, while the wider constructions are more enjoyable off-piste and on softer snow.

Woodcore
The core consists of specifically selected wood types that are laminated in different compositions into a solid core. This gives the designers control over all the characteristics of the ski.

Titanal
A composite metal of mainly aluminium, known for its torsional stiffness and durability. The addition of a Titanal layer to the ski construction provides stability at speed, strength and damping.

Carbon
Carbon is added as a reinforcement to the core. Carbon is light, strong and durable.

True Tip
By trimming the amount of heavy ABS plastic in the tip and extending the lightweight wood core into this area with a taper that further reduces weight, we enhanced playfulness and maneuverability of the ski without compromising that unmatchable feeling of powerful and control. The next generation is upon us.

Sidewall construction
A PU layer that seals the layered ski construction on the side and adds strength. Skis with a sidewall construction are generally more stable at speed, livelier and more durable.
