  • For delivery we depend on our transport partners. We can therefore not give a 100% guarantee about the delivery day. Our experience is that in 95% of cases the package is delivered on the predicted day. (UPS Standard and DHL Standard).
  • If you order skis including bindings that need to be mounted, we will do everything we can to mount your skis the same day. In some cases, shipping may take 1-2 business days longer depending on how busy it is. Busy periods include Mondays, Black Friday, the week before Christmas break and the week before spring break. Are you in a hurry? Please contact us!
  • If you place an order for multiple products with different delivery time indications, the delivery time indication of the product with the longest delivery time applies.
  • There is no delivery or shipping on national holidays.

Quick overview

In cooperation with the Austrian producer Kohla, Furberg offers splitboard skins which are precut to fit their boards straight out of the box. They researched the ideal length of the skin and came to conclusion to shorten the skins. It only covers the surface of the board, which really provides grip. This saves material and therefore weight. The mix-Mohair skins have the best combination of gliding performance and grip. To further improve performance they are rubber-sealed on the edges to prevent water intake, in order to keep the skins dry and light in all snow conditions. Easy to attach with the z-hooks.

Details

There are two main types of fibers used for splitboard skins: Nylon and Mohair. Both have their own advantages, which is why Furberg chose to have a mix of both in our skins:

  • Nylon: Nylon provides the best uphill grip and is more durable.
  • Mohair: Mohair gives the best glide, weighs less and packs smaller than Nylon.
  • Mixed Nylon and Mohair: A mixture of the two fibers allows Furberg's skins to have a better glide than pure nylon skins and a little more grip and durability than pure mohair skins.
