Quick overview

The Drake Team Kohei is the pro rider signature model of Kōhei Kudō, who represented Japan at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Like the Drake Team, the board is designed to be ridden everywhere by everyone. The Smooth Classic camber ensures stability but is a tat more forgiving then the traditional camber shape. This year the signature model received some extra smooth "Kohei groove" by adding UR'INSANE sidewalls to absorb chatter, and carbon rods for more pop and a responsive board.

  • Smooth Classic Camber

Smooth Classic Camber is a shorter version of the classic camber, which is shorter and therefore more forgiving at low speeds yet responsive and grippy when bombing hills or stopping big rotations.

  • Aspen Core

Drake's finest wood core. The Aspen woodcore is made from the finest quality Aspen wood which provides a light and flexible feel, while being responsive and rigid. Aspen wood is durable and supports all conditions that you may encounter.

  • Carbon Kevlar Rods

This centrally placed kevlar carbon strip runs from the tip to the tail of the board. Carbon Kevlar Rods give the board more pop and response, without making the torsion stiffer. You get a more playful character in the board, and this does not make him more flexible.

  • Sintra 8000

This sintered base is made from the highest quality P-Tex material together with Nano Carbon. By fusing this combination, you get a base that reduces friction and improves glide. This base is Drake's crème de la crème and the fastest.

Drake's sidewalls. Made for control in all conditions and a smooth ride.
