The Black Diamond Couloir climbing harness is a full-featured technical harness for use in high alpine terrain. This harness is designed for skiing big mountain lines, crevassed areas on glaciers but also for use during moderate alpine climbs on glaciers. Stashed, the harness is as small as an orange so it easily fits in your backpack or even your jacket pocket.

The Couloir has been redesigned with breathable, low-profile Dynex monofilament webbing of varying widths that is ultralight and durable. The belt features a speed buckle at the waist with easily adjustable wings. Getting on and off while wearing skis or crampons is easy due to the special construction of the leg loops.

The Couloir also features Black Diamond's patented Infinity Loop for securing, which is durable, has a low profile and eliminates the dreaded belay loop shift when the belay loop seam snags. Four Ice Clipper slots and an integrated ice screw slot in each leg loop reduce rattling during long approaches and flat glacier travel. The harness is further equipped with two webbing material loops for cordalettes, extra carabiners and other essential gear.
