In short

The Black Crows Corvus Freebird is a good choice for touring skiers looking for a wide and stable ski. The Corvus Freebird benefits from a slight rocker rise in the tip, a dynamic strong tail, and a long sidecut. The result is an aggressive, stable, and very precise carving ski for alpine style turning on big faces. The ski is also equipped with a titanium plate under the foot to match well with modern-style hybrid bindings.

In detail

Rocker Camber Flat
The ski is effortlessly steered thanks to the tip rocker and easily stays on top of the snow. With pre-tensioning under the binding, the ski is easy to take off and allows you to put a lot of pressure on the edges.

Woodcore
The core consists of specifically selected wood types that are laminated in different compositions into a solid core. This gives the designers control over all the characteristics of the ski.

Titanal Binding Plate
A Titanal plate positioned under the binding provides a robust and durable mounting platform, ensuring direct power transmission to the ski. It increases torsional stiffness and reduces vibrations, resulting in a more stable and controlled skiing experience—especially at higher speeds.

Carbon Reinforcement
Carbon is integrated into the ski construction to reinforce the core without adding unnecessary weight. Known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, carbon increases responsiveness, stability, and power transmission while keeping the ski light and agile. This results in a more precise and energetic skiing experience.

  • Glass Fiber
Delivers customized flex with increased torsional resistance and stability.

Sidewall Construction
A durable PU sidewall seals and protects the ski’s layered construction while adding structural strength. By improving power transfer from the skier to the edges, sidewall construction delivers better edge grip, increased stability at speed, and more precise handling. It also enhances durability and impact resistance for long-lasting performance.
