Compared to its Rocker sibling, the Arbor Coda Split Camber is the more 'aggressive' of the two. The System Camber with its bamboo strips gives it a natural flex with lots of pop. This board is perfect for the experienced snowboarder looking for a board that can handle any condition. The Coda is designed to be versatile. Whether you are planning a day on the slopes or exploring the backcountry, this board can do it all. The camber shape in this board ensures lots of precision and responsiveness and gives a lot of traction on your way up.
This split comes with custom skins from Kohla.
In detail
PROFILE
The Camber System Arbor's System Camber shapes are for riders who want: A highly responsive ride, crisp on-edge performance, and more pop for carving and ollie., Effortless true-camber performance across all types of snow, and during turns, spins, and landings.
Parabolic Profiling Arbor uses a unique shaping technique that replaces single radius arc found in traditional camber or rocker, with a more advanced parabolic profile. The design blends five separate radii together to create a parabolic arc, which gradually reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail. In Arbors System Rocker shapes, the design lowers the leading edge to improve edge hold. In the System Camber shapes, the design makes the leading edge less aggressive for smoother performance. The blended five radii design also drastically improves the ability to tune each shape in line for ability level, target terrain, and riding style.
Thunderhead Arbor has a different nose profile for every type of terrain. The Thunderhead is suitable for big-mountain versatility & speed in the deepest snow.
4 Point Camber 4 Point – 1.5 degrees, Park/Street Performance, Built in 1° De-Tune. The 4point System Camber is the optimal setup at speed, through steeps and deep carves.
CORE
FSC Certified Higland Split Core Arbor's highly versatile FSC Certified Highland Core with additional insert and centerline components for a premium factory splitboard.
REINFORCEMENTS
RWD Carbon Uprights Two carbon fiber uprights running from the tip and tail to just past the inserts. A set up that provides added landing durability and pop for bigger park and backcountry performance.
Mixed Glassing A triax over biax lay–up that’s best for versatility: pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps, and more.
TOPSHEET
Powerply Topsheet The Power Ply works like an added layer of fiberglass. During construction, the natural wood or bamboo fibers are turned into a composite layer inside the board, but the process takes time. They start with a log that must be soaked so that it can be sliced or “veneered” into sheets, which are then assembled into “faces”. The “faces” are then backed with a special fleece material, precision sanded, and pre laminated to a protective foil made in part from natural castor bean oil. The finished topsheet is at last ready to be built into a snowboard. In the end, the process makes Arbor Power Ply designs the most labor intensive snowboards on the market. The resulting performance, board life, finish quality, reduced reliance on man–made glues, coatings, and composites are worth the extra effort.
Entropy Bio Resin All Powerplys and R.A.P. Topless Tech veneers are made with Entropy Bio-Resin, a replacement for traditional petroleum based resin that doesn’t affect performance or usability. The ingredients that go into Entropy Bio-Resin are sArbor’sced as co-products or waste products of other industrial processes and are manufactured employing green chemistry techniques that reduce the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% (when compared to its petroleum based equivalent).
R.A.P Topless Technology A build process in which we eliminate the need for our Bio-Plastic Topsheet, creating a lighter, more eco-friendly ride.
BASE
Sintered base A higher molecular weight, sintered base that provides added durability and speed.
Wend Natural Wax All boards are waxed and ready to use.
SIDEWALL
ABS (recycled) Sidewall Provides enhanced durability while keeping the core safe from moisture. When a plastic alternative is unavailable, as in the case of ABS sidewalls, Arbor has choosen for a recycled material to improve the sustainability of their products.
EDGES
Griptech Grip tech is a tri–radial sidecut design that is not “blended.” Natural shaping intersections, that in the past were eliminated, have been transformed into heel and toe contact points that provide a direct, more ergonomic way to grip the snow when additional control is needed. The extra contacts also form pivot zones that make turning easier and more natural. Grip tech effectively moves a board’s primary interface with the snow underfoot, allowing us to deliver designs that don’t lose performance as we lift leading sections of the effective edge from the snow for a less grabby ride. Those designs include rocker, or camber with our new uprise fenders. Uprise fenders pull the outside contact zones off the snow with angled 3º risers on all camber system designs.
Recycled Steel Edges Highly durable, recycled steel edges embody two of Arbor's key values: quality and sustainability.
360° Fully Wrapped Sidewalls A 360–degree, fully wrapped sidewall that eliminates the need for tip fill, while effectively tying the whole snowboard together. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability.
Factory Tuned Detuning of the tip and tail contact points on all snowboards for a catch-free ride before they leave the factory.
SPLITBOARD TECH
Universal Splitboard Insert Packs Provide a wide stance range, while at the same time delivering critical micro adjustability.
Karakoram Ultra Clip
Karakoram’s splitboard clip is powerful, easy to use, and light. Once joined, the UltraClip fully constrains the seam of your splitboard to eliminate seam rattling, seam shearing, and seam rolling. The lever locks in the touring position as well to eliminate unwanted movement on the ascent
SKINS
Mix Mohair Mix Mohair skins use a mix of mohair and nylon and combine the benefits of both materials. The mix of materials provide the best balance in climbing and gliding properties.
