The Exped Outer Space II is a cleverly designed tent with a spacious awning. The awning is high and roomy enough to accommodate two lightweight camping chairs. Furthermore, the awning can be rolled away completely. This way you can sit out of the wind and still have a wide view.
In addition to the spacious awning, the tent has an additional exit at the rear. Ideal because the inner tent is a so-called transverse sleeper. Thanks to the second exit you don't have to crawl over each other at night if you need to get out.
The tent is very quick to set up because the poles on the outside are attached to the outer roof with clips. The inner tent is directly attached to the outer tent, so it is up immediately. If it rains when you break it up, you can first take out the inner tent and pack it dry before you take down the outer tent.
The inner tent has mesh at the top to save weight and provide ventilation. At both ends you will find mesh pockets to store things you want within easy reach, such as your headlamp.
For extra ventilation, the zippers in the outer roof are equipped with double runners. By pulling the top runner down a little and opening it with the foam reinforced outrigger, you create extra flow.
All this makes the Exped Outer Space a very well-thought-out tent, ideal for the bicycle camper and campers who want the space of a family tent but the weight of a trailer tent.
